4.5 Months - Big news!

It's been awhile since I've updated. It's not that I didn't want to. I've been taking pictures to update but just haven't had the time. Out of site is definitely not out of mind.

The big news is.........I cut my relaxed ends off! Why??? I was just plain TIRED of them!!! So one night after a few weeks of thinking about it I took my hair cutting shears and went to work! I love love LOVE it! No regrets! I've gotten so many more compliments than before. My consultant has NOT seen it lol yet! I cut below the buds. Some of the ends had not budded but I cut up to the thicker Sisterlocked part. No unraveling. Stay tuned for how my consultant reacts1 My retight is next week. :0)

Second Retightening

Retightening today. My consultant asked if I was happy or had any complaints and if I liked the size. Guess what? I could truthfully say YES! I'm happy with my hair! I LOVE it! I love waking up running through my hands through my hair( after a rollerset of course) or throwing a headband on and hitting the door!

Two Months

Two Months and Still in love!

For the style above I twisted individual sections and rolled it with rods.

I decided to loosely braid the top to wash instead of banding.

I like the braids much better than banding. I still separated individually afterwards.

Peace of Mind

Happy Mother's Day!

Ok! My mind is at ease. After much contemplation about the size of my locks. I decided I'm happy with the size of my Sisterlocks. I've had my hand in my head continously while thinking about them the last few days. I came to this conculsion -Without a doubt I'm happy with my Sisterlocks and the size. If my locs were to  be split I think they would be too small for me. I don't want to start over and after talking to a few folks I find out my whole head is indeed Sisterlocks AND not the largest size. I think my problem came from only seeing small and micro Sisterlocks. Although I'm in love with mine I was wanting what I saw instead of appreciating what I have. No more! I LOVE MY SISTERLOCKS!!! I continue to get comments about my hair but my all time favorite said by several people is Your hair is pretty! What...What is it?

7 Weeks

It's been 7 weeks and I love it more and more.  For the most part I like the size in the top but wish the ones in the back were smaller. I don't really think the back are Sisterlocks. I was shown a sizing chart but...My other complaint is that my parts in the back aren't straight! Argh!!!

Random Thoughts

The older it gets the more I love it.The first time I counted I came up with 300 the last time I washed I came up with 446! Ummm...yeah.....sooooo....I still don't know how many I have. LOL  I keep my hands in my heas ALL the time. By the time I reach the end of the week my head is really itching. I'm used to washing every three days. I like how my hair is beginning to look more like locks. I'm loving the stares I get from people trying to figure out what it is...too funny. If they don't ask I don't tell. I've become more aware of people with locks. They are some beautiful locks out there and some...not so healthy looking ones. I find myself starting up conversations with random people who have locks! So far other than my consultant I've only seen one person with Sisterlocks. I've been in cleaning my three "hair" shelves in my bathroom, giving and throwing products and accessories (with teeth) away.

3 Weeks and 1st Retightening

Three weeks and still loving it! I had my first retightening Tuesday. My consultant cut some more of the ends. Running late for work after getting it done. I turned the flat iron on low and bumped the ends. Ended up not having to go in early for work so I rolled it. After the retightening I've gotten more compliments than when I first got it done. To me it just looks stringy.
